When I began the Select Collection travel programme devoted only to luxury travel, people called me a dreamer. They were right, I dream, but I am not alone. Since Select was founded in 1992 in Stockholm, we have gone from strength to strength, and currently operate in five countries, with clients who come back to us year after year.

To us luxury travel is not about glitter and gold. It is about quality of life, style and harmony. It is about knowing you are going to a clean beach with clean water at the right time of year. It is about choice. A choice of hotels around the world, a place for every season, and the option to combine different experiences in one holiday. It means we take care of special requests. It means you are treated as a special guest.

To us luxury travel is also about investment: giving our clients a new rich experience that will last long after the journey is over. Our hotels are hand-picked for that something special, something extraordinary. It might be unique natural surroundings, or cultural treasures. Some are “barefoot luxury”. There may not be 24 hour service in the heart of the jungleor on Crusoe island …but there is still luxury, immense privilege, for those that treasure an unspoilt wilderness.

Select Travel operates in five countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and United Kingdom. Our London office, located in the heart of Mayfair, operates under the trademark of Select Collection. In each country we have deposited guarantees in order to protect our clients in case of bankruptcy of a supplier. In the United Kingdom we are Atol Licensed, set up to protect consumers in the event of their tour operator ceasing to trade. Our Atol license number is: 9771.
